Field Service Engineer

Rotatek is looking for a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join their Rotating Equipment Specialist team. The company serves a variety of industries utilizing cutting edge technologies including Laser Trackers and Laser Alignment tools. The field service engineer responsibilities and duties include:

  • Machinery alignment utilizing precision instruments and laser alignment tools
  • CMM measurements using Laser Trackers and Articulating Arms
  • Data analysis, engineering and reporting
  • Overtime service and some out-of-town service

The preferred candidate would have the following experience and skills:

  • Rotating equipment experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and spatial ability
  • Metrology experience
  • Experience with precision alignment, vibration analysis, strain gauge alignment, marine alignment, and/or turbine internal alignment
  • Enjoys hands-on work outside the office
  • Detail oriented

Education: BSME

Some travel required. Employee will be required to pass drug screenings. Must maintain a drivers license and safe driving record. Must be able to lift 70lbs. Position requires full range of motion including sitting, standing, kneeling, and other working positions occasionally.

Sales Engineer

ROTATEK is currently offering an opportunity for a talented and dynamic individual to join our fast paced, customer oriented organization for the role of Sales Engineer.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Full-time position for a Mechanical Engineer to work as a sales engineer to sell our services, products and rentals.
  • Communication with current customers on products and services offered by ROTATEK.
  • Networking and first-contact with potential customers.
  • Responsible for growing revenues and maintaining relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Provide concise and urgent reports on recommendations for repairs of mechanical equipment.
  • Occasionally attending field services to gain relevant experience.
  • Conveying pertinent customer information between clients and colleagues.
  • Attending industry events.
  • Some travel required.

Those who are interested in this role should possess: 

  • Knowledge of:
    • Laser alignment and dimensional metrology
    • Rotating equipment and electromechanical fundamentals
    • Vibration and condition monitoring fundamentals.
  • A strong desire to succeed in an independent work environment.
  • Bachelors degree in engineering or relevant technical degree.
  • Minimum 2 years applicable field experience.
  • Willingness to work odd hours occasionally as required.
  • Excellent computer aptitude.
